THE PINK ARMY
Category: Goals, Plans, HopesTODAY I HAVE JOINED THE PINK ARMY.

YOU SHOULD TOO.

THANK YOU Grim FOR THIS POST.

========================================

2/11 ‘Pink Army’
——————————————————————–
I live in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It is a small and rather quiet town in the Lehigh Valley, slowly being ruined by commercialization, urban sprawl, and people anxious to escape big cities in order to turn our formerly lovely town into another one.

Not much of note happens here, at least nothing worth grabbing important headlines or sidetracking me from my usual rants and raves here.

But recently a buzz has filled the streets, and more precisely, the school halls.
The Pink Army is poised to strike.

It all begins at work a couple days ago. A co-worker told me something about a ‘Pink Soldier Mafia’ gang threatening to shoot up all the Bethlehem Area school district schools on Feb. 29th. This was backed up by a few other people, and eventually a Morning Call article. (For those of you playing along at home, the Morning Call is the main local paper in this town - it essentially mimics whatever national news is playing on CNN at the time, but adds in editorials written by nimrods who can’t spend the time to google their topics before haphazardly defecating out some little article.)

According to all these sources, this group is very deadly and terrifying and intends to slaughter our poor, poor children!
The rumours went so far as to suggest class would be cancelled on that fateful day.

I was angered, at first. Not at the ‘Pink Mafia’, but the cowards staffing our schools and parenting our children. You don’t stop gang bullshit by backing down like weaklings, you take a stand and put them in their place - which is that of the same kind of cowards any gang members and gun-toting weaklings incapable of fighting with their hands are.

Then I did my homework, and I found the evil gang’s Myspace Page.
Please take a moment to check it out.

Oh, look at that. They aren’t violent. They aren’t making threats.
They are something between a peaceful resistance group and art project. They are social guerillas, using artistic expression and underground tactics to convey a very simple and clear message - the end of war, racism, and hate in general.

How do they accomplish this?
By spraypainting toy soldiers pink and scattering them throughout chosen locations, thousands strong…along with the occasional flyer and pamphlet, it seems. It is a brilliant movement, and I APPLAUD every member of it.

The Pink Army gained a new member today, and I urge all of you to join too. This is EXACTLY the sort of thing we need to be doing right now, RIGHT THIS GODDAMN MINUTE to start making a difference.

Please go send them some support and thoughts. Please take their message to heart. Please join their movement.
